Totally would pay monthly, like so many others. Best there is, period. I try others over and over again, nothing come close to the features of this!
Please please please. Consider coming back to 2Do. I and many others would happily spend 5-10 bucks a month for the peace of mind that 2Do will maintain development. There is still nothing as good as 2Do. Update the interface a bit and start charging enough to sustain yourself. Please.
I’ve been using this for it seems like 10 years. I make edits at least a dozen times a day. And it keeps improving while I keep finding new features such as assigning a time of day to individual tasks. Be sure to read the instructions carefully or you will miss valuable features!
This app has great visibility in terms of UI. This developer thought of just about everything for this app. It works well & really enjoy using it. Have had it for years now. Just hope he comes back to the app. It’s better then most apps out there 🙌 down. Just wish on iPhone we can slide all the way over to see the calendar like the list do & for the notes section we had a bullet point for notes. Please keep evolving on this app 🙏🏼
Love the simplicity, exactly what I was looking for. I have found some of the editing- moving and deleting lists a little challenging to figure out.
This is a good app with a lot of nice features. However you cannot sync with Google calendar and that is a game changer for me. I’ve kept the but I now use it as for making non-time sensitive lists (eg movies I want to see, Christmas list ideas) rather than a to-do. For tasks I now use Google Tasks - the functionality of Tasks is so lacking as compared to this app, but a task app is only as good as your ability to see it easily. I need to be able to see my tasks for the day easily when I first check my calendar in the morning, and Google Tasks gives me that.
I have been using this app from the beginning, I compared it to many others and after all this years, it keeps getting updated and it works great
This is a well thought out application. It is simple and yet powerful. It has reminders to keep you from missing anything and a backup to restore information if you inadvertently delete anything important. It is reasonably priced. I confidently use this application on both my iPhone and MacBook Pro and keep my data synchronized with Dropbox.
A perfectly good (actually great) app completely abandoned. Sad to see.
Is a really good app, but the new widget is worthless for me…spacing so wide only 3 tasks per widget! I don’t think so…not for me.
I use this every day. Integrates with Toodledo (and others). I follow GTD which you can do with this app. I wish it would give me some more options to postpone tasks, but that’s the only complaint. Update: phenomenal app. Still find myself using it daily. Kudos to developer. Please add easier postponement options.
Still no time sensitive notifications, and I’m sure we’re never going to see any of the standard features every other app has with iOS 18.
This is a great app, but just know that after you give the developer your money, you will never hear from him again when the app crashes and you need help! Update: This app has been abandoned by the developer, so why is it still for sale?!
I have used this product every day for over a decade. I like it so much I want to be able to help support the product financially. Perhaps a tip option could be made available.
I keep getting an error while syncing. Last successful sync was 2 days ago. What’s going on? If this service is going to be unreliable, I will look for another. Please fix it or let me know if I should look for another alternative.
Like other reviewers, I have tried almost every other “to do“ app that’s out there. I always come back to this one. I only wish there was more active development and support. (And web editing capability.) But, though I might complain, I will use this app until it doesn’t work anymore.
Could connect to phone calendar better
If you’ve come across this app, consider yourself lucky. It’s worth every penny. And no subscription!
I am almost in love with this app. There are a few things I am trying to understand better, but so far, it's one of the best out there.
Also no calendar sync. Deal breaker. Videos on YouTube are 7 to 9 years old. Seems kind of stale. Makes one think they just want sales and no innovation. Oh well. Could have been good.
I have been a user of 2DO for several years. It is a great to do, life and project manager. It is very flexible. I use it for GTD, but that is not required to use the app. The developer is very responsive and is continually improving. I like that it is not a subscription, but a single purchase - which I did for IOS and Mac OSX. However, it is also included in SetApp (also wonderful) for those that have that already. Sync has some options - which is great. Over the years I used Toodledo as well as Dropbox and both worked great. Really a great program that I hope continues to develop.
if you restart your phone and forget to open the app, you will never see notifications for 2do items that have an alert time set.
I use this app daily. I love the customizable color coded tabs. Simple and easy to use. Keeps me organized. I love it.
I use it every day. I've tried all the "big name" apps but they are either awkward, stressful or just way too much for what I need. I work and I run my home without any glitches - iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Apple Watch. Thanks so much!
Tried them all through the years. 2Do, for me is simply the best suited. Every feature I need for the unbelievable amount of tasks I need to keep organized.
I enjoy trying out other productivity/to do apps. But I keep coming back to 2Do. I’ve had this app since 2013! There is always something lacking in the other apps that 2Do can do and they can’t. My favorite thing in 2Do is being able to create a start date. If I have something I want to do this week, I enter a start date at the beginning of the week and and stop date at the end. That way the task is there every day until I complete. With other apps I have to keep moving the task to the next day. Love, love, having the start date!!!
I've had this app for many years, and while I've been using it successfully, it's only present day am I beginning to use it to its fullest. The Apple Watch integration, along with the e-mail integration allows advanced processing of messages using IFTTT (if this then that) rules, upping my organizational game. With capabilities such as this, power users can "securely" manage input from other systems (ie my weather station devices/customer responses) seamlessly and with significantly less effort once set up. With audio recording and advanced notification capabilities, I'm more empowered than ever to take life's many things I have "2 Do". If you have simple (or want high levels of automation to process complex workflows) 2Do has you covered! I'm looking forward to what's next. If I could add to a wish list, "natural language processing" would the penultimate of task creation! Natural Language Processing would reduce friction further by reducing the need to use a keyboard at all for capturing tasks on the go! Thanks 2Do. Keep up the awesome work! Looking forward to what's next!
Cannot sync with people - it is more than decade old tech
التطبيق يذكر ان اللغة العربية من بين اللغات وفي الحقيقة يكذب .
I really love the functionality of this app. Very intuitive and efficient to use in the usual hectic work environment. Well organized. 2022 update… years later...keeps getting better. One of the best apps on my iPhone. Use constantly-a life saver! Great job guys!! 2024 update: my go to app to keep life on track! Very essential very intuitive
Have used this app for many years. Have tried all the others, but they don’t stack up. If it had a PC desktop app and a print function, it would be perfect. 2Do has so many features it can be intimidating, but you can tailor it to the way you work, and once you have it set up, it’s the best.
In my opinion, this is by far one of the best apps ever written for iOS. The developer is a perfectionist but unfortunately had to put further development aside to work on other projects. Still the uses for this marvel of software design and engineering are limitless. Some of the gestures, if you’re not used to or familiar with them, can be confusing, but once you get the hang of them, you begin to wish every app had them. This is a productivity app and productive you shall be, all while enjoying the elegance of brilliant design. The developer has never charged for updates, and while he’s continued to provide updates to coincide with the latest iOS, my hope is that he doesn’t abandon this app because it’s far too good for that.l and would be dearly missed.
2Do is one of a very few apps I've found that has sublists/categories but lets you see them all on one scrollable page without drilling down. That combined with good "how often does this task repeat" and other dated future reminders make it a winner. It has many other modes of working (like a tag system) but you can ignore them if they aren't a part of your flow.
I’m a big fan of this app for both Mac and iPhone. Tons of features and customization is available, but you can keep it super simple if you prefer. I’ve used a lot of productivity apps over the years, and this remains one of my absolute favorite.
My husband and I use this more than any other app, and have been for many years. We created numerous task categories and lists for groceries, movies to watch, gift ideas, home repairs etc. We sync seamlessly on our iPhones and iPads via DropBox. Support is amazing and readily answers all my stupid questions. 😂
I have been using this App on the Android platform as well as here on Apple and have found nothing that competes with 2Do. Precise and thorough on anything you plan. Keeps me confident of what is coming up and how I need to organize my day and the week ahead. Nothing better!
I first downloaded this app as a college freshman in 2010. It is now 2023 and I’m still using it daily, it has made the difference through college, professionally, and in keeping up with all my commitments. Best app there is
Excellent App. I have been using it for years and have found nothing better that suits my way of making 2do lists. One feature I would like to see is just as you can use two fingers to scroll, I would like to see the ability to use two fingers to drag instead of having to press down in order to slide a panel to one side of the other. Could this feature be added please?
Apple Watch app could use some love especially after the latest iOS update. Looking forward to what yall got in the pipeline
As simple or as complex as you need it to be!
It has all of the things you need to organize your tasks - lists, checklists, projects, tags. Start and due dates. Smart lists. It works seamlessly with the desktop app. Even better - no subscription. Buy once with confidence.
This app keeps my life together and running smoothly. Easily my most used app since downloading over 6 years ago. All the other to do, list, & life management apps really can’t hold a candle to 2Do. Thanks to the dev for their hard work and keeping all our lives from plummeting into chaos. Things I’d love to see: 1. Dark mode be a gray scale instead of pitch black. The colored text just looks bad & is hard to read on a super dark background. 2Do is the only app I don’t run in dark mode. Other neutral background colors would be welcomed as well 2. Being able to sort manually but also within the due date. I have over 100 2Dos so sorting by anything other than by due date is chaos. But I would like to self prioritize tasks by easily moving them around within a daily list. I know you can technically do this by using daily focus, then sorting manually, but that’s more of a work around than an actual way to view your tasks. 3. A lock feature for tasks so they aren’t able to be accidentally deleted.
I find that reminders on iPhone is a bit cumbersome. If you have a lot of them, like I do, the really important ones can tend to get lost amongst the list. So I have been using the To-Do app for years now for my most important, don’t forget to-dos. Works like a charm. It’s simple to use but has some underlying powerful tools to personalize it just for me. Works on all my iOS products and syncs seamlessly between them. I HIGHLY recommend this app.
I always find myself coming back to 2Do, mostly because II is the most aesthetically pleasing todo app out there. It also works well with my brain, as almost everything is always viewable and it’s ver linear. I am probably one of the few but would have no problem paying a monthly fee to help support and continue the app. I would like to see native writing input and synchronization with reminders.
I configured the app to use I loud sync and it just doesn’t work. It says the login work and that it is syncing but the tasks just never show up. Unfortunately, for me iCloud sync is a must so this app is useless to me until it’s fixed.
I used to love this app but the quality of customer service has declined—the app wouldn’t let me access the tag screen, and after some initial responses, I haven’t gotten any help. Very frustrating!
I'm not happy about the change made to the tasks details requiring to swipe down to go back. After years of using 2Do it's already a habit to go back by pressing the back arrow. It also doesn't flow with the flow of the app and it's not consistent with the direction of the arrow. I also preferred the full screen over a half open view, it's weird. Did you all hired a new designer or what?
I just switched over from the Samsung Android universe to the iPhone universe. I used a task app on my Android phone that was my go-to app for getting all my to-dos, projects, and tasks in order. I needed to find an app that was similar to or better than the task app I used on my Android device. After searching for hours and trying several apps, I couldn’t find what I wanted in the Apple Store. I almost gave up the search because there are so many apps to choose from. But many were loaded with too much emphasis on graphic design and data collection or ridiculous subscriptions. Five stars for this app from a developer who really puts his expertise into designing an app that’s loaded with multiple functions for just about any list creation. It’s not perfect. I didn’t notice a currency option for paying bills or shopping lists. But I paid for it because it’s making my life organized again, like I had on the android side of the universe.
I use this app a hundred times a day. Calendar, URL, phone and other attributes make it very comprehensive. Yet quick to add a note or item. Sync using Dropbox is reliable. My one ask: make recurring items more flexible. Should be able to do first Saturday in Jan, April, June and Dec for example. Or the 5th of the month in Jan & June
