Yes, there is a learning curve. You just need to dive in and start exploring it. Youll figure things out, but theyre not immediately apparent. Once I became comfortable with it and understood it better, I was hooked. Very flexible and adaptable. I like being able to keep lists but not have to schedule items if I dont want to. I tried Things, but never really stayed with it. This is a good balance; you can use aspects of GTD, but customize it. It just takes some time and patience to explore it. Look at the settings, add a task, start hitting buttons - you wont break it.
