2Do - Todo List, Tasks & Notes App Reviews

MIGHT just be the best IOS app of all time

I dont know where I would start when telling about all the good things in this app… Sure, there are a few things I think they could add… But I think overall but they have added is extremely solidly implemented. Ive never had a single crash and Im never had a single problem with syncing and everything is perfectly logical once you get the general gist of the app. This is the to do list Ive been waiting for and I have been settling for another to do list app which will remain nameless for now .... But I will say that I wonder how I ever got along with what I was settling for. Keep up the amazing work, guys and gals at 2Do!!!!!

Blown Away!!

Over the years Ive purchased and used: Things, ToDo, The Hit List, plus numerous others (cross platform has always been important). I worked really hard to learn and like them all but after extended use each one of them felt annoyingly lacking. I purchased 2Do over a year ago and after initially looking it over decided that the abundance of complexity and features imposed a steep learning curve so I set it aside. After continually seeing all of the positive reviews and being fed up with Things and THL, I decided to revisit the app patiently. The developer has an abundance of video and written tutorials. Taking my time to review many of them while playing with the app I suddenly had an epiphany; this is the productivity app Ive been looking for!! Ive never experienced visceral feelings of satisfaction about any other comparable app before 2Do; I love it! Its fast and flexible (and fun); it should be a learning model for Cultured Code! It shares quite well and has nice hierarchical features and depth without overkill; both weaknesses for THL. I didnt realize that 2Do can receive input from Siri until I dug through much of their support material. It can do this in a couple of different ways, one of which is really cool. By choosing to sync with Apples Caldav, Reminders becomes a mirror of the lists and tasks of 2Do. The Siri Reminders sync over via the Inbox. I havent seen this methodology employed in any of the productivity apps that Ive used but it is quite comprehensive. Im still working on becoming facile with 2Do, but contrary to many of its competitors, familiarity breeds admiration!

Inexplicable rules

Why do due items not show up under due tab unless I put a start date in them? Thats unintuitive. The calendar is obtuse and impractical. The dots dont show up on days with tasks due, only when the have start dates? Why? Why does it not integrate with Apple calendar? I bought this to synthesize lists with calendars but its turning out to be more work to manage than using Apple native apps. The rules when a task shows up on calendar is not always clear. I put an item to start and be due on the same day but without a time. Yet organizing items under "start", it shows up a day early. Why? I dont understand some of the rules and there is zero explanation. I juuuust want to put a date on an item and it show up on the list for that date...

Manage tons of small projects and love it

I am an independent consultant with a bunch of clients, often more than 7 active at any one time and I have to say Id be lost without 2do. I love it because it easily matches how I work. Its super easy to use but also very powerful. Additionally the more you scratch the surface, the more it offers. Its fantastic (and quick to sync) across all my environments as well - iPhone, iPad and Mac. Is it perfect - of course not! What is? For example, Id love to have the Macs key commands available on the iPad (when Im using keyboard)...but compared to how it keeps me organized its a tiny issue. Ive tried lots of other tools, some GTD, others free or expensive. None works for me as well as 2do. That says a lot since Ive been searching for *years*.

Fantastic app for GTD users!

Easy to use... Yet HIGHLY customizable!

Love this app

This app is great for organizing lists for different areas of my life. Its nice if your spouse has the app because you can send tasks that will automatically add to their list too!

Broken

Sync functionality with Toodledo appears to have broke and developer isnt responding to any requests for support. :(

It just feels right!

I love Toodledo for the info it gives me, but the ui is rather plain and not effective for the way I work. 2do has some similarities to Toodledo and even syncs with it! The UI gives me options for how I work with it, and it makes a great use of space!

Awesome

The best app Ive found so far to keep track of my assignments. Easy to use and understand. Love it!

Strike

Wow, this used to be the top GTD app out there. I loved it. But ohhh, how you have changed since you thought you knew better than your customers. The new redesign was a huge miss. Gray and faded gray needs to go. Need sharp UI. Did you guys change UI designers? Geez. I would give anything to have the old style back because it was so much more user friendly. Now its cold and not fun to use. Im looking to find a replacement, which is sad because I ran my life by this app.

❤️

Very customizable. Takes a week or so tinkering to get to the meat and potatoes. Switched from Omnifocus

Great app

Great application, excellent way to manage tasks.

Love this app

Love, love, love this app. Cannot begin to think about staying on top of multiple projects without this app.

Love it!

Love the app, great interface and fluid usage.

The best 2 Do List so far...

Ive tried four or five ToDo apps over the years... Ive found this to be the easiest and most intuitive. It is very easy to add or edit a task. Ive been using it for several weeks. Im sure it has many features I have not tried, as of yet. I love that it can sync across my devices.

Awesome

The one to get...

Best GTD app in the app store

By far, the best task management in the App Store. The Mac version is fantastic as well. Handily crushes OmniFocus, Things, Wunderlist, and all the others Ive used. It can even co-exist with Apple Reminders, and you can use Siri to add new tasks.

my second mind

Intuitive, user friendly, categories, tags, add pictures, prioritize. My second mind. Keeps me on track. I use it multiple times, every day.

Could be a 5 star app, if some issues fixed.

2Do is by far the most flexible to do apps Ive used. It has all the robust features youd expect from a to do app. However, its missing a step on a few of them. 1. Itd be nice if there was an option for 2Do to delete the reminders, which have been moved from the 2Dos inbox to the appropriate to do list, from the stock reminders app, much like app Things does when you import to dos from its inbox to an appropriate to do list. 2. Location based reminders barely work at all. Ive missed so many important reminders trying to use my location as a trigger, that Ive just stopped using the feature all together. Were this fixed, itd make this app far more useful. 3. The Apple Watch app is not a watchOS 2 native app. So, it either takes forever to load or it fails to load all together. It also will not load at all of the phone isnt within range and this is completely unacceptable. Ive had to buy Fantastical 2 to get my reminders on my wrist, in a way thats always available to me, whether my phone is in the vicinity or not. This is a major point of contention with me, so I removed a full star for the lack of watchOS 2 native support. If the developers fix these issues, Id be happy to amend my review to a full 5 stars.

Great app

I would like this app to add a way to see the percentage of completion for tasks.
